The Sony Sats uses 3 possible remote devices. How do I designate this in KM & IR to differentiate between receivers?

Thanks.

Where can I find this program? I've seen various references to it and have been unable to locate it. Thanks. Eric

Eric,

Welcome to JP1. I thought we had posted DecodeCCF to the old JP1 files/programs but apparently it is still at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1-km/files/Source%20Code/C%2B%2B/decodeCCF.zip

you will probably have to join the JP1-KM group first. You will also need to unzip and install:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1/files/2.%20Tools/decode_IR_DLL.zip

in the windows\system directory if you haven't done so already.

The Sony DSS codes are here:

http://www.anycities.com/rhm5757/Sony_sat.htm

"Sat1 is 183, Sat2 is 23.133, and Sat3 is 23.69"

Sat1 Sony12/15 protocol device 1 = 183
Sat2 Sony20 protocol device 1 = 23 and device 2 = 133
Sat2 Sony20 protocol device 1 = 23 and device 2 = 69

Use OBC and the commands can be copied from http://www.anycities.com/rhm5757/Sony_sat.htm

Somebody should move it to JP-1. It's no wonder nobody can find it.

Rob,

I uploaded the DecodeCCF.zip to JP1 files/tools section (the section that says "dont move stuff in here you damn newbie Smile" ) -- if my description and selection of folders are not correctly please make the necessary changes. Smile Much Obliged!

Like Jon said, he expected to find it in Files>programs. That would have been a good selection.

Jon and Jim,
I moved DecodeCCF.zip to Files/programs. Thanks. (Initially, somehow I missed the part of Jon's note where he said Files/programs would have been a good home.)

Jon, (& others)

Thanks for the help. I'd found the Sony codes, but didn't know what to do with the xx.xxx devices. I'm on my way again. Also, spent quite a bit of time looking for the decodeccf file in jp1 & jp1-km from your previous notes, Jon. The file move should help us new people.

I've spent the last couple of weeks just trying all the concepts of JP1. I have some extender questions, but am now making sure I have all my IR pieces to put it all together for the remotes. Then finally back to the Ocelot/HomeSeer setup that Jon distracted me from.

You are all an amazing group of people. Thank you.

Eric

For what it's worth, I spent quite a bit of time the other day myself trying to find DecodeCCF, unfortunately I didn't have time to load it up into the Programs folder myself
