Can I recover a lost KM .txt file?

Post by dmhines »

A few years back I created a device combiner upgrade that turned my PnP button on my 15-1994 into a home theater button. Since that time I have experienced a hard drive crash on my PC and lost the files. Is it possible to recreate the KM .txt file by downloading the data from the remote and then copying it from IR into KM?

I have some new equipment now so I need to make some changes to my "Home Theater" button. I could just make a new upgrade from scratch but it would be nice if I could recover the old one and tweak it as needed.

You could, but I think it would be easier to re-create it from scratch. Check the file sections to see if there are KM files for each of the components that you mixed into this combo, then re-create it using those.
