1. Device: Panasonic DVD Player model DVD-F87
2. Type of device: 5-Disc DVD Player
3. Remote model: RS 15-2116
4. JP1 user? Yes
5. Still have original remote? Yes
6. Checked Yahoo file section? Yes
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
Using the built-in code 490 worked for many buttons, but I would rather find a good upgrade file that will include all the functions of the original remote. Heck, using the default code 490 the FFWD and Rewind buttons don't even work.
I'm a relative JP1 n00b, but have read a lot of the material here and on the Yahoo Group and have downloaded IR and RM.

As stated in the #1 FAQ thread, if you have a JP1 learning remote like the 15-2116 and the original remote, you have the ability to create a brand new upgrade yourself.
However, Panasonic is pretty consistant with their codes, so you should be able to use just about any Panasonic DVD upgrade as your starting point, then use learning to decode any missing buttons and you the decoded info to complete the upgrade.
