Sorry folks. Been a while since I've been JP1ing.
Purchased a combo LCD computer monitor with built in tuner labeled "Batesias" brand name.
Learned a few buttons but only a few would learn.
Listed as NEC1 Protocol Device 134 Sub 107. Where do I go from hear if I can't learn any more buttons? Am I looking at a protocol update? |

NEC1 is an easy protocol for your remote to learn, and a device with some NEC1 commands probably has the rest of its commands NEC1 as well. So you should diagnose and fix whatever is stopping you from learning.
Is learning memory in your JP1 remote full? You can save the signals learned so far on the PC, clear out the learning memory and learn some more. Later you can create an upgrade to combine the decode info from all the learned signals (so it doesn't matter if they don't all fit in learning memory together).
Next best guess is bad batteries in the original remote. Batteries get too weak to be used to learn a signal before they get too weak for the original remote to operate the original device.
You might have a problem with aiming, or distance or various other things in the process of learning. |
