programming for an unknown remote
i have a remote for my blackbird which i would like to program on my one for all 8910. i tried using the learning function but there is not enough memory. how do i know which codes to load through the jp1 so i can get it to work?
Sounds like you haven't tried JP1 yet.
In summary:
1) You learn some of the signals from the original.
2) You read those learned signal to the PC via JP1
3) Either the software (learned signals tab in IR.EXE) decodes the signals automatically, or (for real obscure stuff) you post the file for the experts to look at.
4) If the result isn't recognised as part of a previously identified code set (supplying all the missing functions), you erase the learned signals from the remote and repeat steps 1 to 3 to get decodes of the remainder of keys.
5) Using information thus gathered you create an upgrade.
