Download the IRTool and DecodeIR.dll programs, then use them to decode the signal. The results are that this is NEC1, device code 1 = 6, device code 2 = 251, OBC = 14 and EFC = 054

Do you need only the power function? You don't plan to use any other function of that Display?kenzo wrote: I have 17" IIYAMA LCD Diplay with remote an need the power function of this.

If you only need that one command Rob did the part requiring IRTool and DecodeIR already and posted the answer. The Robman wrote:Download the IRTool and DecodeIR.dll programs, then use them to decode the signal.
The rest requires a simple upgrade created in KM or RM, and installed in IR and a KeyMove defined (also in IR) based on it.
I'm sure it would be.kenzo wrote:that sounds easier for you than for me
The expert here tend to provide fast and helpful responses to anyone who tries to use the tools themselves and finds it too hard. The response is less consistent for those who just want it done for them. But someone MIGHT email you back a copy of your .ir file with that upgrade and KeyMove added. Hopefully they'll mention here that they did, so nobody else duplicates the task.

You're pretty close.
1) On the Setup sheet of RM you need to type in a Setup code number (4 digit number less than 2048). It can be any setup code you're not using for other devices in that remote. You may also want to select a device type for it (or leave the default of cable).
2) After that is done, you must go to the output tab of RM and use the copy button to get that device upgrade to the clipboard. Then open your .ir file in IR.EXE and go to the devices tab, select Add and then press ^V to copy that upgrade from the clipboard into your configuration.
3) You shouldn't put the KeyMove into the external functions tab of RM, you should use the KeyMoves Tab of IR. Use "Add" there and then select the "bound" device mode and key where you want it to work. Then select the same device type and setup code as you used in step 1. Then type in the EFC of 054.
4) Save the configuration file from IR and upload it to the remote for testing.

ok that is clear

i will get
Upgrade cod 0 = 0f e2 (TV/0000) 1999 (RM v1.08)
5a 00 01 20 9f 20
End
Then open your .ir file in IR.EXE and go to the devices tab, select Add
her i get the
UPGRADE DEVICE POPUPSCREEN
i fill in the code and mut
select
Typ: Setup Code:
Protocol FF
and there is a field for Key Moves
what shoulkd i use here?!!?!
is this right ?!?
i dont understand how the remote will know a code only from this informations:
The results are that this is NEC1, device code 1 = 6, device code 2 = 251, OBC = 14 and EFC = 054
then press ^V to copy that upgrade from the clipboard into your configuration.
ok but,---

No. You should just use ^V in the big empty area at the top of that dialog. That should fill in the type ans setup code (and more) for you.kenzo wrote: Then open your .ir file in IR.EXE and go to the devices tab, select Add

Nothing. That is not the right KeyMoves dialog for this task.kenzo wrote: and there is a field for Key Moves

Press OK after ^V, then switch to the KeyMoves tab and Add the KeryMove I described earlier.
It's MORE than enough information. The OBC is redundant with the EFC. You only need one or the other (depending on what program you are using).kenzo wrote: i dont understand how the remote will know a code only from this informations:

The Pronto Hex you've posted in a long form of the same information. It doesn't carry any more information than "NEC1:6.251:14"
