After Rob helped me figure out my errors with my JP1 cable construction I proceded to learn all the buttons on my wife's new kitchen TV, a SVA EV-1703 LCD Monitor/TV (would not suggest it's use due to poor contrast in dark scenes) to go with her ReplayTV 5540. I made the mistake of telling her the replayTV remote can be programed to do anything and she made me a list.
Anywho... I learned all the button presses for the TV via a 8810w and through IR 5.15 recovered IR info ie..
Mute = protocol-RC-5 Dev#O OBC-13 EFC-(076 or 068 or 092) Hex-(C8 or C9 or CA) T-1
I just used the OBC numbers, too much the noob to know the difference btwn EFC and OBC.
I proceded to use keymaster to make upgrade for the 8810w, this was acceptable except it seems a bit flakey when I use the menu key and try to use tha channel and volume controls for navigation it doesn't work, but the vol and chan buttons work OK when not in menu mode. (Did I lose you yet?) For my goals this isn't an issue as I didn't plan to incorporate
the menu control on the Replay remote. (would like to know why it was flakey for my own education, and so I could feel confident in sharing the upgrade file)
I then tried to upgrade the Replay Remote URC 4641B00,
I have done the TV upgrade to control the TV related buttons (finally figured out that I had to change the device code in IR's General tab for it to work.)
I then did an upgrade for the VCR buttons I needed, didn't realise the buttons I didn't define would become blank. Is there a way I can use IR or another software to extract the Keymap to be able to retain the rest of the keys?

I'm sorry, but you did lose me in there somewhere. However, let me just add that in it's native state, the Replay 5000 series remote is just a 1.5 device remote. All of the buttons work the main Replay device all of the time, with the exception of the volume and TV-POWER buttons.
If you want this remote to do more than just work the TV's power and volume functions, you'll need to install the extender, which will convert it into a 12 device universal remote.

The way we use the replay she only ever uses the Replay Guide to watch anything.
She only wanted each button to have one purpose, but wanted the numbers to be for the TV, Jump to be channel format, Chan+ and Chan- to be for the TV and input/Commercial Advance to be AV on TV.
It seems to me if I could extract the rest of the Replay buttons I could just do a custom upgrade for her. Is there a way to extract a key-list other than learning?
Do you have a link for getting into the extender stuff. Sounds more than what I need.
