I was wondering if the Dish Netwrk remote controls were actually just another model from One For All? I'd like to use my exisitng new Dish Network remote and program the AUX for a second receiver that has a different address.
I've read how to do this with a OFA remote but since I already have the Dish Remote with dedicated keys for everything it would be nice to be able to add the second receiver into the remote. As far as I know Dish doesn't publish how to do this.
Is a Dish Network Remote made by OFA?

Forgot to mention, I have two Dish receivers, and have not found a really easy way to control them both from one remote. At present, I have the two receivers addressed as "1" and "2" (from the screen menu). If my remote is controlling receiver "1" and I want to change over to receiver "2", I hold the SAT button down for 3 seconds until all buttons come on, then press "2" and the "#" button twice. To change back I have to use the same procedure, except the "1" button instead of "2". Awkward as hell, and I hate it. And I don't want to change to an OFA remote because I need the outstanding UHF transmitter in the Dish remote to go between rooms.

I have no idea, but I'd wager it does NOT use the same freq. I was referring to the capability the 2117 would provide to use the IR output of the remote in one room and the "blaster's" IR output (triggered by the 2117's RF signal) in the other room. If you need the remotes to work FROM either room then you would need TWO blasters and I don't know about getting one extra.Tommy Tyler wrote:Are you sure it uses the same UHF frequency as Dish (384 MHz I think)?
