Has anyone gotten anywhere with this remote? It is a 3 device unit which Comcast is supplying with the new DCT6208 cable box/DVR. It has the JP1 6-pin installed but I can't communicate with the remote. I have three other JP1 remotes 6131M, Millenium 4, and Navigator. All upload and download correctly, so the cable is good to go and I've verified that I'm plugging in pin-1 to conductor 1, but this new remote won't even pass an interface test when connected. Any one seen this? |

This remote is a "no go" so don't wate your time with it. It's a "JP1.1" remote and we don't support those (not that we don't want to, we just don't know how). _________________ Rob

Nobody's working on it, so no progress. The technology used in this remote has already been abandoned for something else, so it's not worth anyone spending any time and effort on it. _________________ Rob

I have one of these remotes, but don't see a map for it in the new package. Is this something that might eventually work for me?
Thanks! |

The new IR does indeed support both JP1.1 and JP1.2, but you will need a new cable as the current JP1 cables won't work with the JP1.x remotes.
While we're close, we haven't completely tested the current design for the new cables, so they're not widely available yet. _________________ Rob
