Device combiner two devices
Hi, I had an interesting challenge that I couldn't figure out so far. I use Pansat 2500a FTA satellite receiver and RS 15-2117 ext3. Sometime I flash receiver with Pansat software, sometime with Fortec Lifetime Ultra, they are interchangeable but use different IR codes. I have remote programmed with both upgrades and use them on different devices. I wanted to have them both on the same device, so use would be seamless and my wife didn't have to remember which button to use at different times. Using macros seems complicated and I wanted to see if it was possible to use device combiner to send two codes from each button at the same time. I played with DC for some time but couldn't figure out if I could do what I want. Any help or advise would be appreciated.
Device combiner is used to create a master device comprised of
subdevices which can use different protocols and/or subunit codes.
It isn't used to send 2 IR signals per button press.
Macros may be the simplest way out currently.
Is it that difficult to standardize on one set of IR codes for your receiver?

I don't even know if it's possible. I was looking at bin files. I also have tried to dissasemble software but without commented source code and SDK I don't think it's easy to locate any functions. Two different software turn one reciever into different recievers, so I don't see a way out so far. Thank you for info on device combiner. This is what I thought but still wanted to ask just in case I was missing something.sfhub wrote: Is it that difficult to standardize on one set of IR codes for your receiver?

I would recommend that you use the Device Multiplexor. This special protocol lets you stack multiple setup codes onto a single device button.
As you only need to switch between 2 setup codes, you could also consider the Device Toggler.
