Hi, I have setup 2 remotes without any request for help, but got new peice of equipment and got stuck. I wanted to create a toadtog and needed discrete on/off. With my previous Toshiba DVD play worked as discrete on (actually it was play-ffwd-play, since if you press play when disc is playing you get pause), play-power as discrete off. For some reason this doesn't seem to work on DVR. For device upgrade I modified following upgrade
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1/files/3.%20Device%20Codes/DVD/Toshiba_RD-X2.txt and regular functions work well. Any ideas as to how I could make it work? I loved that macro on toadtog to turn DVD on and off with setting everything for DVD playing. While at it, is there any discrete inputs? ch+ doesn't take you to tuner, if you are on input 1 it will take you to input 2.

The fact that found a pseudo discrete on last time was a bonus, it's not a requirement for using ToadTog. ToadTog has the ability to keep track of the state of your device (as long as you don't manually turn it on or off at the front panel).

Thank you, I know that. Problem is my mother-in-law watching my son has a problem with turning on DVD for him. Gotta train her to either first put in the disk and then press macro key, or vice-versa. Sometime his DVD is in already, sometime it's not. And I have problem making her remember what to do first. Last one was great, since it didn't depend on state of dvd player. Now it's a problem. I think eject is the only button that seems to turn it on, but makes it too compicated and takes fair amount of time to execute (eject, close, play will take some serious time). Was just wandering if someone knows of any hidden code for discrete, would make life much easier, especially since not only remote is used to turn DVD on-off (otherwise could work with just toadtog capabilities).
