Looking for suggestions to streamline URC-8811 usage

I'm looking for any hints or ideas for how to use key assignments and macros to make it a bit easier to watch TV. I would like a simple and smart way to turn get the equipment ready for cable or DVD watching. Typically I go through TV->on + CABLE->on, or TV->on + input select + RCVR->on + DVD on, etc. I know I could set up a couple macros to automate some of this, but I wonder if some of you smart guys have some clever solutions!
