All I want to do is when I select a device (e.g. CBl/SAT) I want to change the input of my receiver (AUX1) to the proper input for the CBL/SAT but leave the remote ready for CBL/SAT functionality. I have tried this with the standard macros but I appears that I cannot do this (inquiry on a different post about that). I have downloaded the extender5 file and reviewed thew documentation and the extender Calc worksheet but I am still at a loss. Is there a extender for dummies document out there? I don't understand what the DSM hex code is used for on the worksheet, the "Breakdown Tab" is used for, etc... I just need a push!

HELP...

Just FYI, in Greg's other thread he mentions that his remote is a 15-1994.

You shouldn't need to use the CodeCalc worksheet for what you are trying to do.

I saw on your previous post that you were using Phantom keys on the AUX1 device to issue the input selection commands you wanted.

So, you should be able to add the X_AUX1 command in the default macros on the device keys to temporarily set the device and issue commands to the the AUX1 device.

For example, add (don't replace) 'X_AUX1; Phantom3' to the macro on whatever device key you want to use that input. Obviously, you can change it for each device.

Hope that helps.
