I just tried ReplayTV-8811 for the first time to use the ReplayTV (Advanced) protocol. It is great. Thanks for providing it.

I wanted a few different key assignments so in IR I added a number of Key Moves. All of them work except for one and therein lies my problem.

I cannot successfully assign a key move to the fav key. The fav key defaultly does a Replay Guide. I want it to do a Return To Live.

Here is my Key Move Definition: Note DVD is set as VCR/DVD 2000
Bound Device = DVD
Bound Key = fav
Device Button = DVD
Device Type = VCR/DVD
Setup Code = 2000
Hex Cmd = $25
EFC = 235 (aka 491 or 747)

Nonetheless, after uploading the fav key still does Replay Guide rather than the new def as Return To Live.

I defined the swap key the same way and it works as Return To Live.

I tried binding other functions/codes to the fav key but it always does its default behavior of Replay Guide.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It's not really a bug and you are not doing anything wrong. By design the fav/scan button in most remotes (if not all) can not be changed in the base configuration with a keymove or button assignment. In IR you can bind a device to the fav/scan button and add a macro to it and some extenders give you even more control over it. You can try and create a phantom button with the function on it see if a macro with the phantom in it will work but I have never tried it that way.
