Hi,

I am using a URC-7552 and just learned all keys from my original Kathrein remote control (SAT) IR.exe 5.0 tells me for all buttons "GAP-some numbers"
the saved dump can be found at http://www.zweckstetter.de/Kathrein.IR

There is no matching protocol in keymap-master v8.24 or RemoteMaster v0.96a

What can I do ?

CU

I can't get to it today, but it is like the NEC1 protocol without the repeat and with 24 data bits. D:4,~D:4, F:8,~F:8. I think there is probably a built in protocol for that, but if not, I can do it in a few minutes with Protocol Builder.

I just posted an upgrade here for this but when I did I found another upgrade file already there. Anyway both use protocol ID $0066. IR does decode it although it is confusing. I put an explanation in the notes with the upgrade I did.

I'm trying to understand this one well enough to add to DecodeIR. I scanned all the CML files I have and found no instances of this. In CCF files I found two instances, two different Kathrein DSS models.

1) Should I assume this is just a Kathrein protocol and name it that? Or should I guess we'll see it elsewhere and temporarily call it "pid0066" until we know more?

2) Combining the available data from a few sources, it looks like most commands are
{38k,540}<1,-1|1,-3>(16,-8,D:4,~D:4,F:8,~F:8,1)
nonrepeating.
But a few (such as VOL+ and VOL-) are
{38k,540}<1,-1|1,-3>(16,-8,D:4,~D:4,F:8,~F:8,1,^105m,(16,-8,F:8,1,^105m)+)
Jon, does that look right?

I don't have a very strong preference, but "pid0066" seems better for now.

It looks good to me. I only saw the non repeating varaint, but I didn't manually decode but a few commands. It makes sense that it would repeat on those commands. Is the UEIC protocol set to do that?
