Changing Replay Remote

Post by quark2 »

I would like to change the Imput key on my Replay remote to automaticly switch my tv to Video 3. However after searching, I am no closer to figuring this out then when I started. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

ReplayTV 5508
Sony KV27FS100 ( I beleive the command code I need is '66')

You've picked a tricky remote to do this with as this remote doesn't support keymoves (which is what you would normally use to do this).

Therefore, you're only option is to use the Device Combiner. Read the documentation that comes with both RM and KM on the Device Combiner then come back if you have questions.

Well, I habe managed to change the imput button on my remote to do what i wanted, but now when I hit any Replay specific button, nothing happens and the red light comes on solid. Any thoughts?

Usually when the red light is solid there is some error, maybe infinite loop
in macro (maybe you are already using extender?)

I believe the 5k extender supports keymoves. If you are comfortable
with extenders, it should make the change you are after pretty simple
to do using a keymove.

Thanks for your help, but I have no idea what you mean when you say extender.

However, it is all a mute point since I was able to pick up a 15-2117 today.
