Urc 7070 not reconized in IR.EXE-5.09

Post by just4fn »

I have a radio shack 2117, and I have set it up using jp1. I know everything works from the jp1 cable to the computer. I just bought a urc-7070 and tried to download the info into the computer via IR 5.09 but I get the box that says it cant see the remote? Any Ideas what I should try? Thanks for the help, Doug

Note: I have also changed the remote to urc 7070 in IR.
thanks, just4fn

You don't "change remotes" in IR, you just download and IR picks the remote for you.

Have you tried this both WITH batteries in the remote and WITHOUT?

I just tried it with and without batteries. Neither way works. I also turned the jp1 header in both directions incase it was upside down. Could it be the wrong diode or wrong values that just happen to work with the 2117? Thanks for the help, Doug

You got me, it works with my URC-7070. Actually, just for the hell of it, try downloading the old 3.01 version of IR and see if that works. I had a situation recently when I was out of town using my laptop and I couldn't get the new IR to work with my URC-8811 but the old 2.03 did work with it.
