URC-8060 questions

Post by qtdir »

Hi,

I'm new to this JP1 stuff and got some questions regarding my kameleon.

1. do i understand correctly that i'm not able to assign functions to buttons, not lit up in the choosen device ??

If "Yes", thats bad in cases where AV/Receivers are involved, 'cause they got only 1 page, and on this page not all buttons are present ( rd, gn, bu, ye ).

2. would it be possible to split the AV/Receiver into two devices ( tuner/amp ) ???

3. If i got the original remote, i can learn all codes, download them to "IR", remap the buttons and upload it as new upgrade to my remote ??

btw. anyone made an upgrade for a "Sherwood RD-6103R" AV/Receiver ??
looked in the files section on "Yahoo" but the posted "Sherwoods" don't work.

TIA

ahhh,.... for the 6pin solder solution, what pins should I use ????

You are probably referring to the mod that I do to the American URC-9960 Kameleon. This mod is not possible on the URC-8060 because the pins would block the batteries. You're only option is to use a pogo-pin adapter.
