Does anyone can tell me what is the closed caption advance code for the TV code 0000 on my 8811?
I also have an DVI(video7) on this sony TV, does anyone has the discrete code for it too?
Or any suggestion where to look for... there is so much information and I can hardly find something I need.
Thanks so much.

The place to find the commands is
http://www.hifi-remote.com/sony/Sony_tv.htm
However, those are expressed in terms of device number and command (OBC) number. But you need setup code number and EFC number. There is a page associated with that one, which explains that conversion for non JP1 users. For JP1 upgrades, using device number and OBC number is very simple in KM or RM.
Also, discussions elsewhere seem to indicate that the discrete for video7 is missing from typical models that have a video7 input. If your TV supports a discrete for that, then the command listed on that site is it.

To get Video 7 you will need a JP1 cable and then add a device upgrade. Then you can do a key move using that device:
Here is the device upgrade. Add this device using IR but don't assign to any device button:
Upgrade Code 0 = 03 E8 (TV/1000) keymap-master Device Upgrade (KM v8.24)
CA 00 01 E9 EE C0
End
Then Keymove TV/1000 EFC 032 to the button of your choice.
TV/0000 EFC 074 is CC

Thanks experts!
I have collect bunch of JP1 related doc, try to read it before start the programming things. But then I realized without using JP1 cable, the 8811 seems doing most of the functions that I need on my A/V setup by using advance code or learning features.
If not using the JP1, is it possible to program the macro contains discrete code, such as power on and off, to the macro button? Or that has to be done by the JP1 programing as well?
Thanks.

Unfortunately, many newer Sony's no longer seem to support CC using the remote. You have to turn it on/off through the menus. The CC codes that used to work with my KV-20V80 no longer work with my KV-30XBR910 or KV-13FS100. The new remotes do not have CC keys like the older remotes.
If you want the macro on a button that accepts macros without JP1 (most do, a few don't) and your discrete functions have device numbers for which your remote has setup codes, then you can include discrete codes in a macro and/or KeyMove a discrete code directly to a key without a macro.mightijp1 wrote: If not using the JP1, is it possible to program the macro contains discrete code, such as power on and off, to the macro button? For example, most of the Sony TV commands listed in http://www.hifi-remote.com/sony/Sony_tv.htm use Sony device number 1, which is included in the basic Sony TV setup code in any (I think) UEI remote. But the Video 7 command is Sony device 151, which is not included, so it needs JP1.
I guess I am the lucky one. the 074 EFC works on my kf-we610. But it is the cycle function which I have to scroll through all the CC options. Does Jon or anyone else has the complete CC advance code for the TV/0000, I can simply try all the available code since I need CC1/OFF only. Thank you so much!!!andyross wrote:jon_armstrong wrote:TV/0000 EFC 074 is CC

There are probably many lists around, but I do have a decent list of the standard 000 (or 0000 on newer remotes) EFC codes here:mightijp1 wrote:I guess I am the lucky one. the 074 EFC works on my kf-we610. 074 is the only code involving CaptionVision.
