Help please...... I'm new to this forum and to programming One-for-all controllers, but have some experience with electronics generally. I built the serial interface design (I would have gone for the USB design, but couldn't find a UK source for the IC) but can't make it work. The PC knows its there on COM2, but when I connect it to the controller and try to download to the PC, I get an error message telling me the interface isn't getting power from the controller. I measure the voltage on the IC though, and get a healthy 2.8v (it is a urc-7562; 2 cells).
I don't know if this is related or not, but while the interface is connected to the controller, the buttons on the controller don't work.

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?
