That should be all you needed. "discrete Off" is not really needed on the LG7832/DVB318. This player turns itself OFF after 10 mins of inactivity. The screen saver comes on after the first 5 mins of inactivity, then the player turns off after another 5. Read your user manual.

BTW, EJECT alone will also function as a discrete ON. This command turns on the player and have the tray ejected, ready to accept a disc.
