I think we might be onto something here. Pete, you say that you downloaded IR 5.09, did you also download the latest RDFs? If your upgrade is ending up at $0100 you're probably using some very early prototype RDF for the R5k remote.

$0100 is the standard address for the upgrade section, but the R5k remote broke that rule and started it somewhere else.

IR's title bar does indeed show "Replay....-ReplayTV 5000 Remote" so I don't believe I'm trying to load the 2117 to the R5K.

I can see the same raw data you do.... starting at address 0104. But if you say that's not where it should start, then I'll try uploading the device upgrade with a clean remote image.....

OK.. did that... and there's no difference in the address range that the upgrad occupies, and I still see the device upgrade on that tab (albeit without readable EFC codes defines, like I posted earlier and Rob told me not to worry too much about.).

Is it worth it for me to re-post my setup in a *.IR format (I notice the new file format with the new version now).

Or can Rob confirm that he doesn't see the device upgrade as well?

I can confirm that I don't see the upgrade either, but I can see it in the raw data just like Mark, so you're definitely using a bad RDF file.

Here's a good IR file for you...

Like I said... I believe I fully upgraded all the RDFs.

But let me delete everything and start over again. I'll even grab a clean Replay remote image from the other one I've never hacked.

OK... I've deleted every *.RDF occurance on my hard drive and downloaded the new RDFs from Yahoo again. And I've decided to use the R5K dump you (Rob) uploaded to Yahoo.

KACHING!!!

I knew almost immediately this would work when the device upgrade looked totally different after pasting (not getting the "Not mapped" message on the VOL and MUTE keys anymore).

Sure enough, it now works.

I'm guessing that I was just using and old , bad, RDF file... I never even had to use the IR file you uploaded even Rob.

I just should have stayed up with all the upgrades around here and I never would have had a problem. Thanks for all your help guys!!!! Really...

Do I have to pay time-and-a-half for your working July Fourth!?!?!?

Enjoy the fireworks and I'll be toasting a cold one to you both at the grill today.

It's double pay actually, do you need an address to mail the check???

We were supposed to have our firewaorks show (here in Wilmette, IL) last night but it was rained out! :( Maybe we'll go to one of the shows in the nearby suburbs this evening.

I'm thinking of wearing my Union Jack t-shirt, what do you think, will it go over well???? :)

Unfortunately, I suspect the irony would be lost on most who wouldnt' get one step past the red-white-and-blue you'd be wearing!
