My guess is that you didn't create the ReplayTV upgrade at all, but are in fact still using the one that came with the remote in the first place. The fact that the setup code is 0224 rather than 0001 tells me that the remote is probably a Comcast or AT&T remote, rather than a true ReplayTV remote.

So, given that you now know that this protocol uses 2-byte commands, what you should do is ignore whatever gets displayed in the EFC column for the upgrade, and instead just look at the hex column. You should notice that the hex for the SELECT button is "00 1B". Next, go to the keymoves tab, highlight your keymove and press EDIT. Then select the "hex" radio button (rather than the EFC button) and enter "00 1B", and press OK.

As for the step by step for loading and building an upgrade that you requested, here it is...

thanks for your help!!. I will start over today using the link provided. I started with an original replayTV remote and have bought a AT&T remote (as you suggested) on ebay some time ago. I'll just start over and see how it goes. Thanks again.

OK. SO I have downloaded the ReplayTV.zip file from the files section. Opened the replay file in KM changed the input button to do the work of the select button (AINPUT) was in red and also changed the TV/video button for the 3 minute video skip. Then copy the necessary codes/protocols to IR and upload to remote. LED blinks twice and all is fine. Input acts as stop button not select ?? And TV/video seems to blink the LED but have no effect. If I try to load the other files from Replaytv.zip into km and follow the same steps the upload to remote causes the LED to blink only once indicating it does not like the upload. I'm really stuck here. Here is my setup and my goals. Maybe someone (Rob :) can help me with this.
Panasonic Showstopper
AT&T ReplayTV remote
Select button is bad and am awaiting another remote and would like to copy the function of select to an unused key on that remote (in my case I never use INPUT so......)
While I'm at it I would like to assign another unused key (TV/Video) the 3 minute skip function.
I have gone through the docs but it seems when I use the proper replay file in KM it won't upload to remote later. Any advice on what I may be doing wrong?

Make sure that you are selecting OEM mode as your device type (not VCR, etc) in KM. Make sure also that you're not changing the device type once you've copied the code over to IR.

Finally, zip all of the relevant files together and post them. (ie, save your settings in KM and save that, then save your IR file).
