is pansat recvr ir codes like any other

Post by irv6744 »

i would like to figure out if my pansat receiver uses ir codes similar to any other receiver that might be listed in the tivo setup. can i post the download from my 7800 somewhere and would someone be willing to look at it and tell me if the ir codes seem similar to another brand of electronic equipment. there is a pansat 2300 txt file already posted and i don't know if that would be helpful enough. i want the pansat i have, to feed the tivo and use the tivo to control channel selection and recording from the pansat. thanks

The usual place is

You need to join the Yahoo JP1 forum before that link will let you into the right place.

I think people have reverse engineered the format the Tivo uses to store IR signals it knows how to generate, so even if your device isn't supported yet you should be able to get it to work.
