I have been working on programming my remote to deal with all my media center equipment and I'm having a ton of success.
Thanks you guys!
I managed to get full control over my media PC as well as all the various odd features of all the other devices (Cable box, 'a' 'b' 'c' as a sample).
However, there is one button code I cannot fathom yet. I am about to do the 0..255 thing to find it if no one has yet discovered it.
The '#' (or pound, hash, sharp, number - whatever takes your fancy) button actually does something with the 2000HD. It changes the aspect ratio of the current image, zooming, stretching etc.
However, I cannot find the efc(?) for this button.
I'm using the AT8400 scientific atlanta remote.
Does anyone have it?
Is there a way to have the remote read out the efc assigned to a specific key? <SETUP>995 will dump out the current actual assigned remote code but that's for the device group. I wonder if there is an equivalent for each button?
My remote is not JP1 enabled. I've been programming all the special button mappings by hand (there are about 20 over all my devices).
The JP1 device configuration files have been very helpful. That's how I found the 'ABC' button codes but they have no mention of the '#' button anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to determine the button code is to learn it from the original remote and read it with IR. However, the 6131 is not a learning remote so unless you have another remote that has learning capabilities you may need to wait an see if someone else has learned it.
Just a warning, doing the 0...255 experiment can be dangerous if there is a code that does something like a manufactures reset or something so go with caution.

Does Time Warner charge you a "lease" for remotes in your area?
When I was on TW Cable, I got hit with several extra $/month for the 3 remotes for our 3 settop boxes. That lasted exactly one month before I scrounged up all of my JP1 remotes and put one in each room, and returned the remotes, much to the surprise and dismay of TWC. I think they count on that extra income... bastards.
