Many years ago I built a simple 3 transistor serial interface designed and published by Tommy N.Tyler.
just discovered recently, that the last version of RMIR that still works with this built is RMIR-2.12.15 with serial interface v0.25.
if I try to use it with any newer version, got a " remote not found " message.
my system is Windows 11 64 bit with Java 25.0.1 and remote used an a 1056B03 Jp1.2 MaxQ610

I'll let others speak to whether your serial cable can still be used, but have you thought about upgrading to a more modern cable, like an FTDI FT232RL USB cable? You can get these for under $10 USD if you don't mind waiting for delivery from China. Please note, however, that they don't ship with the standard 2*3 connector that we need for JP1 remotes, so you will have to replace the connector (more info on the wiki page).
Here's a cable on eBay for under $10 that should work:

Re: If you built a 3 transistor serial interface by Tommy N.Tyler
I have a FT232RL Type-C USB 3.3V 5.5V to TTL Serial Adapter Module, with signals TXD, RXD, ERS, DTR,CTS, and +5 V, +3V3, GND
Would that work ?
If yes, can you tell me what signal goes where on remote's connector pins?
Thanks!

It won't work without RTS. I've never heard of ERS.

My mistake, small print on board...
CTS...RXL...TXL...DTR...RX...TX...TXD...RTS...RXD...RI
So I have RTS and the chip is FTDI FT232RL

Then that should work, check the wiki page for the connection details:
https://hifi-remote.com/wiki/index.php/JP1_Cables
Now you'll just need a 2*3 Dupont connector.

Re: If you built a 3 transistor serial interface by Tommy N.Tyler
These are the connections I made:
pin2 to RTS (also jumpered to CTS)
pin3 to GND
pin4 to TX
pin6 to RXD
Converted board showed up in Device Manager as "FT232 USB UART", Internet search found "https://ftdichip.com/drivers/d2xx-drivers/ " website and I downloaded and installed driver file "CDM-v2.12.36.20-Universal-Driver-for-x64-WHQL-Certified.zip" .
Installed the latest RMIR 3.2.11, Auto Detect & JP1.X serial found remote , but not JP1 USB or JP11 USB options.
As per received Raw Data, my black 1056B03 is a 2010A9MAXQXX UEI, Maxim MAXQ610, JP2, v1.00
My goal is to add a RCA webOS TV RWOSU6549 into the 1056B03 remote.
Maybe there is a file already exist ?

I don't know if RCA did something different with the webOS sets, but the vast majority of RCA TVs all use the same codeset, so this is probably as good as any:

And there's almost certainly a built-in code in the 1056B03 that works your TV

Re: If you built a 3 transistor serial interface by Tommy N.Tyler
The remote has a date printed on a board inside :2009 Nov
The TV is made in 2021, the RCA file is as old as 2004.
I used a remote codes manual and checked all listed 20 codes...
of course, the last code 0019 was the only one worked with Power On/Off and some buttons also works (vol+/vol-,mute,last)
I am going to put together some simple IR receiver device (Arduino) to capture codes and will start a new thread if any help needed.
Thank You!

TV/0019 uses NEC1 dev 4, which is mainly an LG code, so I'm guessing RCA did a re-brand with this set. You could see if this upgrade is close:
