I've disabled new user registration
I can't keep up with the amount of spam that we've been getting here since I brought the forum back to life, and the number of new users is out of control. I can't imagine that most of them are real people. So, until I can get some better spam protections, anyone wanting to join is going to have to find a way to contact us to let us know.

I've also just deleted all the new user accounts, except for the 2 that actually posted.

Hey Rob,
I'd like to thank you for your dedication to the JP1 community. I started back in the Radio Shack 15-1994 days. Those are long gone now but I'm still using about a half-dozen Atlas 1056s, two on each of my 3 TVs. I recently bought a Sony Bravia 9 which is my first new TV since 2011!
I think when I started learning about JP1 remotes I had a Toshiba projection TV, lol. JP1 remotes have seen me through projection TVs, VCRs, CD players, DVRs, multiple receivers, soundbars, and various streaming devices. I never really posted much here but I used this resource a lot over the years, usually going long stretches without checking in. My last visit was probably 2023 when I cut the cord and needed to make changes to simplify things for my spouse. You've probably saved a lot of marriages!

Re: I've disabled new user registration
The 15-1994 days are not over for everyone, I still have 2 of them in use, one of which gets used daily. I have a bunch more in storage that I bought from Tommy Tyler at one point. The rubberized coating has disintegrated, so if I ever need to use one of them, I have to give the case a good scrubbing to get it all off first.
