@pogo:

I shall shortly post RMIR v3.2.7, which will be an official release. This will include a final attempt to resolve your Mac issue. Your last comments give me an idea of one final thing to try.

Could you please check one thing in your RMIR setup, as this would explain a lot of things. Please go to the menu item Options > Advanced and check that Use non-modal Device Editor is NOT selected. Thank you.

Thank you. I am still mystified by your Mac problem but I have added one further toFront() in the hope that it may help. This is the end of the road on this as far as I am concerned. I have now posted official release v3.2.7 which includes this addition. Please let me know if this final tweak as helped or not.

Sorry. Back to original behavior. Editor opens in the background every time.
Let me reitterate, this isn't really a big deal (once I understood what was happening). I didn't come here expecting anyone to invest a lot of time in it for me, and I truly appreciate the effort. I was actually just curious if I was the only person who had this problem. The lack of "me too"s makes me think
a)maybe Mac users aren't JP1 users
or more likely
b)there's something unique to my Mac installation that causes this.
