Yes, it shows 105 (ESPN shows 107)SysTech_Larry wrote:Cool.
As a follow-up (in Temp.rmir), I would like you toIs it 105 or 107?
- click on the Device tab,
 - double-click on the Roku 4.251 setup code &
 - in the upgrade's Functions tab, look at the Paramount+ OBC.

If you loaded it correctly, it should be 105.

It does show device number 4, Sub Device 251 but Protocol says NEC1.SysTech_Larry wrote:Looking at the Setup tab of that upgrade, does it say that
Protocol = Roku Official,
Device Number = 4 &
Sub Device = 251 ?
My original main Roku TV device shows Roku Official, Device Number 234, Sub Device 199

Should I change it? Would it conflict with my main Roku TV device that is set for that protocol? And does it matter since everything is working?SysTech_Larry wrote:The Roku 4.251 should have protocol = Roku Official, not NEC1.
Update: I just went and double-checked in my test .rmni - sorry I'm getting myself confused with all of the back-and-forths.
The Roku 4.251 shows:
- Protocol = Roku Official
Device Number = 234
Sub Device =199
The NEC1 Dev. 4 shows
- Protocol = NEC1
Device Number = 4
Sub Device =251

You should have three different upgrades to choose from:
Roku 234.199
Setup ID: 2002
Protocol: Roku Official
Device number: 234
Sub device: 199
Roku 4.251
Setup ID: 4740 or 4741
Protocol: Roku Official
Device number: 4
Sub device: 251
NEC1 dev 4
Setup ID: 2184
Protocol: NEC1
Device number: 4
Sub device: [leave blank]
Do not change their associated OBC numbers.
Assign them to three different device buttons in your General tab, if you have them; or choose their Setup IDs one at a time. There is no conflict in having two different upgrades using the Roku Official protocol. It is like having two different versions of Spanish...

I didn't change anything. I simply loaded the other two upgrades into my configuration as you instructed and the values are as I listed. Everything worked except the Paramount+, which worked only in the NEC1 upgrade, so I mapped that to a softkey and deleted the Roku 4.251 as it was of no use.
Am I missing something?
Are we talking about the same two upgrades you specified here? Because those are the ones I'm using. I went back through the thread and see no others.

Here is an upgrade using Roku dev 4.251 and the same OBCs,...

PS: Your Paramount+ OBC (233) is mine (105) + 128, so it is likely a duplicate.

If I uploaded the incorrect upgrade for NEC1 dev 4, I apologize (and have corrected it). But it still sounds like you are overediting the downloaded upgrades.
All you have to change is the Remote type and specify key assignments on the Buttons or Layout tabs, and save it. And make sure that it has a unique Setup code, if it doesn't already. Leave the Functions tab alone, unless you are creating a new upgrade.

Again, all I have done is load the upgrade and assign the keys. Period. I haven't even looked at the Remote Type or Setup codes as I didn't know I should.

You mentioned that you could not have Roku 4.251 & Roku 234.199 on the same remote. Maybe I misunderstood you.
Did you try the corrected NEC1 dev 4, yet?

I think I mentioned that I recalled from my earlier experiences (a few years back) that I had encountered issues when having more than one device utilizing the same protocol, but that I might be misremembering. Based on what you've said, I guess I was!SysTech_Larry wrote:You mentioned that you could not Roku 4.251 & Roku 234.199 on the same remote. Maybe I misunderstood you.
I just did, and I believe all of the values are as you expected, i.e., Setup Code=2184, Protocol=NEC1, Device=4, Subdevice=Blank.Did you try the corrected NEC1 dev 4, yet?
And everything -including Paramount+ - still works!

That means that your original problem where the TV did not properly handle the Paramount+ key sent by the Roku 234.199 protocol can be narrowed down to two possible causes:

							- either the TV's firmware is misreading the key code from that protocol, or
 - your remote is mis-generating that command.

Is the Paramount+ code being sent by both the NEC1 Dev 4 and Roku 234.199 essentially the same command?SysTech_Larry wrote:That means that your original problem where the TV did not properly handle the Paramount+ key sent by the Roku 234.199 protocol can be narrowed down to two possible causes:

The remote is an AR Xsight 15. I had the same issue with a Nevo C3.
Is it possible there's a difference with this model of TV where it's expecting a different command for Paramount+? It's a pretty new model. I haven't had any other issues.
Thanks again for all your time and help.

No, they are not. I know of four protocols that normally work for your TV. (The fourth does not have a Paramount+ key.)Is the Paramount+ code being sent by both the NEC1 Dev 4 and Roku 234.199 essentially the same command?
NEC1 dev 4 shows that it can work. We are just left with why it does not work in Roku 234.199.
Did Roku 4.251 work on everything else? Did you verify its
Protocol = Roku Official
Device# = 4
Sub device = 251 ?
