Hi, I have yesterday received a Virgin stream box after years of using the Virgin 360 with my JP1 remote, but this is a new equipment I have from Virgin. None of the button presses are being recognized by my JP1 remote when I try learning and no device codes are here for it. Any suggestions please?

Have you confirmed that it's sending an IR signal, and not RF or BlueTooth or something else? The quickest way to confirm is to watch the remote through a digital camera like the one on your cell phone, because IR is viewable through a digital lens.

You are correct Robman, it is not sending IR signals, i didn't contemplate that there were other remote signals.
I've found that the remote works from a different room so it must be bluethooth. Does anyone know how these work to control my TV too which receives IR signals? Also are there ofa remotes that send both IR and bluetooth?

If you're asking, how does the Virgin Media OEM remote also control your TV, it must also send IR signals when it's working as a "universal remote".
I think the question that you should be asking is, does the Virgin STB also respond to IR signals so that you could program your URC-7955 to control it?
Towards that end, I would try the following 2 files (where the 2nd file is yours):
