Hello there,
I bought a Magicsee N5max X4 Android media player.
Unfortunately, I don't have the remote codes to use the remote in RMIR.
Maybe one of you knows the box and can tell me which codes of another box are compatible?

Is it an IR remote, or RF? It seems as if many of the basic boxes use Bluetooth or similar remotes. Looking at pictures of the device and it's remote (no remote shown for this model, but others all look the same) and it looks just like any generic Android device remote. Almost identical to the one from my Walmart Onn Google TV boxes.

Should add that the processor used (S905X4) is the EXACT same one used in the Walmart Onn 4K Pro Google TV streaming box. That version has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Sort of the middle of the options available for that Magic See.
I would be VERY VERY careful with many of these no-name Android TV boxes. They are well known for having little to no support for upgrades, and coming with malware built in.

Hello,
I am sure that the box is equipped with IR and not RF.
I also have to point the original remote control at the box for it to react.
Unfortunately, the original remote control does not have tests for start/stop, etc.
The processor is an S905X4 with 4GB Ram.

Malware should not be an issue as I have flashed the box directly with CoreElec.
Unless something is already integrated in the bootloader. Of course I can't check that.
The Walmart Onn Google TV boxes should be somewhat the same box, but has less ram.
The remote control of the Onn also seems to have BT.

I don't know anything about CoreElec, except what I've just read following the link that you posted, but it sounds like you configure it to respond to the remote of your choice, I guess the idea being that you could grab an old VCR remote or something to control it. They mention that the remote file that you create should go here:
/storage/.config/rc_keymaps/YOURMAPNAME.toml
Do you have such a file?
But regarding the codes that you posted a link to, here's an upgrade based on them:
