here is an upgrade that I attempted to make for a URC naviagator remote to operate a Yamaha 5 disc CD changer.
I used remote master, IR 5.0, and a 2116 to learn the commands from the original remote.

The learned signals in the 15-2116 file use the NEC1 protocol with a device code of 121, whereas the AUDIO/2036 code that you loaded into the navigator uses NEC1 with a device code of 0.

The experts know how to translate from the fixed data in a device upgrade back to the device number that was selected to create that fixed data, so he could have given that answer by opening your eeprom image file in IR.
But you also provided the rmdu file, so almost any experienced JP1'er could open that file in RM to see that the device number was left out.

I got the 121 device code from your learned signals. In your upgrade, the fixed data was "00 FF FF", the first "00" tells me that the signal is NEC1 with just one device code. The second byte should be the device code in LSB-COMP hex format. In this case I didn't have to do too much reverse engineering because "FF" is all zeroes in LSB-COMP.Scott Deeter wrote:Never mind....I figured it out. But how did you see that? Where does it show what the device code is in the upgrade?
Thanks again...a million.

You guys are amazing. I wish I could do something in return. You've made simply average remotes into the absolute best bang for the buck, bar none.
I truly appreciate it. If you do any flying (commercial or otherwise) at least know that me or one of my union brothers are keeping your aircraft safely separated. That's about all I guess I can offer.
