which file to upload?

This is the JP1 beginners forum. There's no such thing as a stupid question in here, so post away, but this forum is just for JP1 users and people considering JP1, non-JP1 users please use the appropriate forum above!

which file to upload?

Post by Scott Deeter »

I looked around, but couldn't find this....which file is it that needs to be uploaded for troubleshooting? I tried to create an upgrade for my Yamaha 5-disc CD player, and it seemed to work, but none of the buttons seem to do anything.

Please advise, and I'll upload.

Thanks,

Scott

Since it's unclear where you made the error, it's unclear which file we should see. Do you have a zip utility. If so, zip together a few files.

Most important, you created an eeprom image to upload to the remote. Always save to a file when uploading to the remote. Include that file.

I assume you created an upgrade in either KM or RM, each of which have save commands. I hope you did save it. Include that too.

Maybe you used learned signals as a source. I doubt we need to see those in this case. But for others who review this thread for instructions in similar situations, I suggest they include the saved eeprom image that has the learned signals. In a zip it doesn't hurt to include anything small that might help.
