Simple setup, difficulty in finding codes

Since EZ-RC has closed down, JP1 is your only option to get these remotes upgrades. We will (eventually) support all remotes formerly supported by EZ-RC, including the Moster Revolution 200.

Simple setup, difficulty in finding codes

Post by barisgrckr »

Hello,

Have used two different Logitech Harmony remotes for years, but both are kind of dead, so I came up with OneForAll XSight Lite remote on Amazon. It was a great bargain, so I purchased, later finding out that it has some work to do by myself, because the manufacturer stopped making them hence providing support.

Here I am.
I have gone through many topics, done many searches, but I am finding it difficult to get the correct codes for correct devices in my humble home TV setup.

The setup consists of
  • a Sony Bravia Android TV (55-X8505C),
  • a Denon A/V receiver (AVR-X500),
  • a Digiturk Sagemcom DT61440UHD (satellite receiver)
I have functioning remotes for all three devices. Sony remote is RMT-TX100D, Denon remote is RC1180 and the Digiturk one has a code in its battery cover which says URC602401 R00-00.

I am pretty sure the codes I need for the TV and the A/V receiver are here somewhere, but I cannot be sure. Finding the one for the satellite receiver would be tricky, but I am also sure its codes are here somewhere.

Making all kinds of searches for models of devices as well as remotes, I was not able to "turn on all devices" with the remote, so I am not even at the stage where I can get some macros for a little more complicated functions yet. Therefore, I need help :)

Even though you've posted in one of the JP1 forums (rather than the non-JP1 forum), I suspect that you don't have a JP1 cable. However, if you do have a JP1 cable, try these:

Sony: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=13997
Denon: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12913
Digiturk: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=3844

The good news is the Xsight Lite uses a standard USB cable, not a JP1 cable. So just install RMIR, plug in your remote and use the files Rob posted. Instructions are in the wiki link at the top of this page.

As Mdavej said, the remote works with USB cable yes.

Forgive me if I've started the topic in the wrong place, my apologies.

I'll check the links and get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks already!

Yeah, I forgot that the Xsights are USB remotes. I have moved the thread to the Xsight forum.

When opening the Digiturk file, I get the following error:

The selected protocol "XMB (Slingbox)" (01 6C : JP1Slingbox) is not compatible with the selected remote. This upgrade will NOT function properly. Please choose a different protocol"

Any suggestions? :)

Just change it to XMP. I also fixed the file itself.
