369006 URC-3680

If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.

Yes indeed, I will create a new Map and then a new RDF that uses it.

I had a little time to get back to this and added FastFwd(Held) and Rewind(Held) to both The RDF and Map files.
Buttons work after testing
I put the file in the diagnosis section

Thanks, I moved it to the proper folder, so Graham will see it.

I will include it in the next release of RMIR, but that may be some time away as I have no updates to RMIR itself currently planned.

Activities section needs help

watch tv #4 RMIR displays all of them set for tv but works for tv, sound which is what the manual states

watch tv #5 RMIR displays tv, tv, stb, stb/tv but should be tv,stb, sound

Watch Movie #5 displays tv,tv, stream, stream, stream/tv manual states should be tv, stream, sound

watch movie #6 displays tv, tv, bluray, blueray, bluray/tv should be
tv, bluray, sound

Listentomusic #2 displays tv,tv, bluray, bluray bluray/tv but should be tv, bluray, sound

listentomusic #4 displays tv, tv, stream, stream,stream/tv should be tv, stream, sound

listentomusic #6 diplays "none" for all of them

Setting activities in RMIR the remote's activities work as they should according to the manual so it appears RMIR is just displaying the wrong devices.
Since the activities work correctly i assume the activities maps are correct but i am uncertain what needs changing

I am a "fallen away" JP1 afficianado that has spent the past 4 or 5 years in the Harmony camp. With the discontinued status of Harmony and the need to set up a new viewing system, I decided to revisit JP1. I have a couple 10820's and an 8820 and have successfully programmed those using RMIR.

But I recently received a URC-3680 through Amazon Vine to review and thought I would look at the JP1 capabilities of it besides reviewing its normal capabilities.

I found the IRM415.rmir and 3690_3680.ir files that were posted by HamburgerHelper1 but I have been unable to find an RDF that matches this remote. The main RDF folder appears empty except for a checksum file and a couple PDFs. I find a link to an upload, but file-not-found there.

Any help?

If you download the latest version of RMIR which is v2.14.16 all the latest RDF'S including the URC-3680 are included

Perfect! Don't know why I couldn't find that. I was using 2.13 which felt fairly recent, but not recent enough.

I'm off and running!

I have found that my JP1 cable does not hold very well on the connector in this remote. It wasn't obvious in looking at it, but the pins are in fact a bit shorter than any of the other remotes I have. That causes the plug to easily fall off. I might try grinding off a bit of the plastic of the plug to make it go a bit deeper onto the pins.
