It was there yesterday, so I think it's just a server problem.

I hope so, next month would be my 20th anniversary on that site. In those twenty years its never been down this long.

Hmmmi, I have a bad feeling about this,

To my knowledge, the forum software is written from scratch by someone so it is not at all unlikely that it broke when a provider updated something... But of course I would be happy to see it back.

Or possibly it is a Russian "hacker"?

Daniel started a thread in Pro Installers forum at Remote Central that he moving to new servers and warned that RC might be down for a time. So, it went down on Monday.

I'm getting worried now, RC has been offline for 10 days!!! I know Daniel is alone, RC software is all self-made, but switching servers takes this long?

I am also starting to feel worried. In particular since the forum software is AFAIK completely hobbyist work, written possibly 25 years ago, so chances are that it uses features not supported in modern operating systems

So transferring it to mainstream forum software is probably not exactly trivial

I just got word from Daniel Tonks that Remote Central will be coming back. His tech guy had some time off for the holidays. He says that everything is backed up, so it should be a full restore.
