Darbee 5000S Video Processor

Post by nohjy »

I have a 5000S with no remote, so I can't even use the learning function on my remote. I would really appreciate the help. I can't even find the hex codes for this thing...

Mdave,

Many thanks! You wouldn't have an upgrade for this by any chance would you? If I am just adding these codes manually, what is the easiest way to do this? Also, can you confirm that these are for the 5000S and not for the 5000. They use different codes.

Again, Many thanks!

John

Sorry on all counts. No upgrade for this 5000. But it's very unusual for them to change codes from model to model. If you want to try it on your S anyway, I'd copy paste each pronto hex string into IRScrutinizer and go from there.

Unfortunately, they did change codes. I have the original remote and it will not work...

Looks like it's in the Harmony database. If you have access to a Harmony, load the codes and teach them to your JP1 remote.

Alan, on the Harmony lookup website I see “Darbee Vision” “DVP-5000S”, not sure about device type. Hope that helps.

Eventually found it under "Home Appliances", alongside fridges. Go Figure :D

BIN files and README.TXT uploaded at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=26480

Lets see if it works.

Thanks Alan for jumping in to help.

nohjy, you don't need the bin files in Alan's zip, those are for Slingboxes, you just need the RMDU file which you can then customize for your JP1 remote.
