EFCs for Roku (STB version)
Moderator: Moderators
I haven't seen any pattern to their updates. Also, I stopped using Roku and doing code searches quite a while ago. Using my spreadsheet you should be able to do searches yourself as there are actually only 128 to check minus all the ones we already know. Otherwise you'll have to wait for Edmund or some other user to post their new discoveries.
If you don't mind using your phone, you can also launch any app via IP and don't have to wait for Roku to add an IR code (follow the link in the first post of this thread).

Roku's are starting to update from 9.4 to 10,0, that when I try another search. None of my roku have yet updated. When 9.4 came out we received Apple tv discrete command. Who knows whats in 10.0, just got word that Google play app is going away on all roku's, they want you to go to the youtube app for your library of films and tv shows you might have bought on GP.

Hello all, mdavej wrote:Upgrade and spreadsheet has been updated with all new commands up to this point in the thread. Also added an EFC column to the spreadsheet just for you Edmund
I'm about ready to kick dish to the curb, replacing it with fuboTV. I found the code to get directly to fubo on my Roku TV (00126), but, while I'm at it, I thought I'd go through the current Roku codes to see if there are others I should be using. So, where is the latest file or upgrade? I looked, but I can't find it.
Thanks for any help.
Geez! I'm embarrassed I missed that! Thanks for the quick response.mdavej wrote:Linked in the first post. Hope you find some more codes. Thanks for looking.
Edited to add: The latest upgrade associates EFC5 00126 to Roku TV. I'm running Roku version 10.0.0, Build 4195, and that EFC5 maps to fuboTV on my TV.
I wasn't able to find anything new for my setup. I was looking for a code that would take me directly to Roku TV, Live TV.
Thanks again.
Roku tv's don't use the same IR code set as Roku stand alone roku's do. And so they have a different efc list. I have listed efc I found for Roku tv's in this thread:

Ah, something else I missed, and I even participated in that thread!MaskedMan wrote:Roku tv's don't use the same IR code set as Roku stand alone roku's do. And so they have a different efc list. I have listed efc I found for Roku tv's in this thread:

(Although that is where I found the fuboTV code I'm using.)
It's perhaps noteworthy that with my TCL Roku TV, there is a code to go directly to fuboTV, but there is no such code for a stand-alone player -- or am I reading this incorrectly?
I'll need to buy a stand-along player for another TV, so I'll have to keep that in mind.
Thank you!
So with newest Roku update 10.5 efc 00038, 00040, and 00042 and the rest no longer work.MaskedMan wrote:So the reason the tv commands were added to the roku code set was the Roku Smart Soundbar. It comes in a Roku branded one with more powreful speakers and voice wifi remote. And then there's the Walmart Onn brand Roku Smart Soundbar that has less powerful speakers and comes with IR roku remote. The IR remote is the same all consiole Roku have used over the years, accept it has preprogrammed tv power, Volume up & down, and Mute keys that matches the efc's I found above. I bought both models to find this out.
The newer Ultra Wifi Roku remote has two progammable keys marked 1 & 2, they hold a voice search prompt. You press the voice search key, and speak. If you like the results you press and hold 1 or 2 key to memorize that search. So after my Roku, the soundbar, got 9.3 I did a EFC search, I came up with efc's 00038, 00040, 00042, 00046, 00048, and 00050. The first three match 1 & 2 keys and a third programmable I guess you call 3, the last three efc are duplicates of the first three. So if you have a voice roku remote, use it to do search, then pressing the 1,2,3 programmed into the UEI remote, it will memorize them. So you can have a IR remote with YouTube Tv key. And two others.
