GE Universal Remote

Is this remote a UEI remote since it uses 4 digit codes? Does that make it a better chance of being jp1.x/2 compatible? Just thinking about purchasing it.

Very unlikely, but without knowing the model number so that I can look up the user manual, I can't be 100% sure.

I come across many remotes at work and I have never seen a GE remote made by Jasco
be a JP1 remote.
