Greetings everyone. It has been a while since I had need to change my remotes so I haven't been visiting the forum a lot lately. Hope everyone is doing well.
Quick question re the RMT415 version 1.
I tried to set up a 5th device using normal Shift plus one of the four device buttons to call a macro to select the 5th device. This is how I used to do it on my old Insignia remotes.
But it doesn't seem to work.
Do Shift(SET) macros not work on the RMT415? |

Should work. Post your RMIR file so we can take a look. |

I dug out my RMT415 file from 2016. I definitely used shift macros for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th devices. But I put them on regular buttons, not the device buttons. I'd give that a try. Unfortunately I no longer have one to test. |

I took your advice and put macros on Shifted non-device buttons and it works. So I guess the limitation is trying to use the device buttons.
Very annoying. The SET button is closest to the device buttons so they are the most convenient (and dare I say most natural) place to put device selection macros.
I knew I should have bought a bunch of those Insignia RC02U remotes when they were still available |

MENU and INFO look like good candidates for the shifted macros as they're very close to the device buttons. _________________ Rob

They do seem like the next best buttons, location-wise. |
