How to handle long press REW/FFW?

Post by guranbanan »

Hi!

My URC-2981 REW/FFW buttons become SKIP buttons when I hold down the keys. This doesn't work well with my Denon CD-receiver. I want to be able to Fast Forward/Rewind while pressing down. Is it possible using some code (993,994,995 etc) or do I need to use JP1 software?

Thanks!

Some remotes treat each of the REW/FWD buttons as 2 buttons (ie, tapping the button is a different button than holding it), as you have found.

I know you can fix this using JP1, but I'm not sure if you can fix it using 994, because I'm not sure how you would tell the 994 command whether you're trying to program a TAP or a HOLD.

Thanks Robman! I guess I'll just have to get my hands dirty and start JP1:ing for real! It'll probably make it easier on the whole anyway! :D
