Key Map

Post by HamburgerHelper1 »

While setting up Remote OARUSB04G 4000 with an air conditioner, for
a non-tech person I used the key map feature to print out a list
of the keys and functions. This person asked a question of which device button are these functions for.
I thought good question

Since this feature is in the upgrade section it makes sense that it does not print out the device button it is on since it can be assigned to any of them.
So i hand wrote on the printout the device button that i assigned it to.
Is this too trivial to add a way of inputing and printing out the device
an upgrade is currently assigned.
RMIR does have summary that is close to printing everything

It goes somewhat deeper than that. The Device Upgrade Editor in RMIR is in fact an instance of RM, and RM knows nothing about device buttons. So it is not trivial for the Key Map panel to look up which device button an upgrade is assigned to.

I see the sense of your suggestion and will think about how it might be implemented, but it will not be in the next release of RMIR which will be within the next few days.

yes to me it is not important enought to impliment, considering all the other great functions of RMIR, Time is best spent elsewhere on more important
features. It is just as easy to write down which device key things are on.

Maybe it could be a user entry text box?
