Trouble with IRScope GUI on Windows 7-64

Post by ElizabethD »

Brand new installations.
I installed FTDI drivers. They selected COM3.
I then ran IRScope 2.0.1.6. It didn't work. Didn't like default COM5. I changed to COM3. Still no go. GUI looked fine.

I read someplace here to substitute DecodeIR.dll by the one in RMIR.
So I did.
IRScope worked using COM3, gathered a signal, I viewed it. BUT, I can't do squat with the GUI. It's tiny, non-resiseable, and all menus are shaded out. See screenshot. What's going on? What can I do other then forget windows 7 adventure and continue on XP?

Edit/Update: I copied IRScope 201-beta3 zip from my XP (32bit), ran it in Windows 7-64bit with no changes. It works fine. No funny GUI. And works fine with the most recent FTDI 2.12.28 drivers for both IRwidget and JP1.2/3 cable in a USB3 hub of all the places :)

Now that I have resurrected two Windows 7 64 machines from the brink of death, I have RMIR IR v 8 and IRSCOPE all running on Windows 10 64. With my vintage cables.
