Hi Guys!

I have a URC6810 remote that it’s not present in the RemoteMaster Software’s list.
What I need to do is to programme in “learning mode” the remote, donwload it and reload it on others URC6810 remotes.
When I make the "raw-download" of the configuration it save a 3557.ir file.
Therefore my question is: It is possible to programming another URC6810 with this 3557.ir file?

thank's to all!

No. But simply renaming the RDF might work. Make a copy of "355804 (URC-6820Z Zapper+).RDF" and rename so you replace the 355804 with the actual signature of your remote. It's something like 3557, but that's too short. Use whatever RM says the signature is when you attempt a download.

Great. What number did you end up using? We can use it to make an official RDF.

I know this topic is old as stonehenge, but could you help me create a file for the URC6810?
I tried the same as albevt and that worked to see the codes, but the button layout is completely off.
(renamed to 3557 (URC-6810 Zapper).rdf or 355702 (URC-6810 Zapper).rdf both worked)

Also the leaned ir codes from the remote are shown rather correct.
(Only with sometimes the wrong button description.)
But when I edit a learned code from copy-pasting a pronto hex code,
and send to remote, the remote does not send an IR code anymore.

Please advise, I would gladly help to create a better RDF file for the URC-6810.

By the way;
I saw some information about making a .zip to help create a RDF file,
but didn't understand how to upload a file to this JP1 phpBB.
So I hope it is OK for you guys to download it from here:

I have copied the file to our file section for you:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26123

To load a file to the file section, just scroll to the top of this (or any) page in this forum, then look for the link in the center called "File Section" (bottom left corner of the link cluster). Click on it, then look down the list and you'll see that the 4th entry is called "Diagnosis Area", click on that, then notice that there's a button at the top of the page called "Upload", click on that, then hopefully it should be obvious how to do the rest from there.

Once you've loaded a file, if you want us to look at it, click on the File Section link again and scroll down to the Diagnosis Area again, only this time, instead of clicking it, look over to the right where you'll see a link to the last file that was uploaded (which should be yours), then copy/paste that link into the relevant forum post.

Dear All,

I would like to request a RDF file for the URC-6810
It looks a lot like the URC-6820 physically, but with less buttons.

Please find the readout and extra info here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26123

Let me know if there is anything I am missing, I hope I can supply that
(I have IRscrutinizer and a ir-nano sensor to read out IR codes)

Thanks in advance!,

Is there anything else I can do to get the RDF file and program my remote with JP1?

Here's the first draft of the RDF, map and image:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26152

I'm not sure why, but it appears to support 6 device modes, whereas I was only expecting 2, so not sure what's going on there. It also appears to support number buttons, even though it doesn't have any. I didn't check the manual to see if there's any way to program macros, but you could try programming some macros using RMIR to see if they work, likewise for keymoves. If you find that either of them do NOT work, I can disable the feature in the RDF.

So, bottom line, please experiment with this to see what works and what doesn't and report back with your findings.

Dear Rob,

I also don't know what is happening with the devices modes:
I know from the manual that I could set op multiple sort of devices by the code.

But if I try to open and edit a learned code, I will not save. (even after no edits)
By default there is no device selected from the learned codes,
but if I replace that by any other device, I CAN save....
... but the remote button no longer works and sends no IR code anymore.
(received by irscrutinizer)

By deleting the learned signals 1 by 1, I also figured out the mapping of the learned signals are incorrect:
Code:
RMIR        =   Remote
Up          -   Back
STB_Power   -   STB_Power
Left        -   Left
Right       -   Right
Menu        -   Up
Mute        -   Down
Down        -   Vol+
Vol+        -   Vol-
TV_Power    -   TV_Power
Vol-        -   Mute
Ch-         -   AV
Ch+         -   Ch-
Back        -   Ch+
OK          -   OK
Guide       -   Guide

I hope that helps a bit, I will check if I can figure out more because I only know how to use the "learned signal" tab

I have updated the RDF based on the button description that you gave.

@Rob: Is there anything I can test more,
because for now, I can't input Pronto Hex as learned signals.

So I can't add Pronto Hex codes and assign them to buttons,
unless there is another way to do that.
(I tried to add it as a device, but that did not work.)
