RDF for newer Millennium 4?

If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.

RDF for newer Millennium 4?

Post by sking90 »

I have what appears to be a newer version of the Millennium 4 remote. Neither of the 2 RDFs from v1.16 will work. I've used the RDFs for B00 and B01 versions of the millennium 4 successfully but I can't get it to work with this new one.

Are there any other RDF files for this remote besides the 2 in v1.16?

There's a sticker inside the battery compartment:

URC-M4XXXBJ8-XXX
J035002

I opened the remote and here's what was printed on the circuit board:

UEIA-10208
4MXXXBJ7/BJ8
48000-003-0015 Rev:02

Thanks.

I only have the 2 that you tried. If you upload a RAW IR file we will see what we can do with it.

Do a reset, and download it to IR and save it. Post them in the diagnostics folder at Yahoo with a link for it here.

I reset the remote using 9-8-0 and 9-8-1. I downloaded from the remote using the RDF for the B00 version of millennium 4. The B01 version gave macro warning errors when I downloaded using it.

I uploaded the file to the diagnosis section of the JP1 Yahoo group. The files is named:

New-Millennium4.zip

Thanks a lot.

You shouldn't use any RDF in the download process, if you know that the existing RDFs are not right for this remote. This is because the RDF might change some data and mislead the person creating the new RDF. If you are presented with a choice of RDFs during the download, select CANCEL and none of them will be used. If IR.exe automatically selects an RDF for you, you may need to rename the RDF in order to get a clean download.

I repeated the download from the remote this time selecting "cancel" when it asked for an RDF to use.

I updated the files in the "diagnosis" section of the JP1 Yahoo group.

Thanks again.

I uploaded some New Millennium RDF's and maps and images (that Jim G had sent me) for you to try Mill4 rdf's.

First delete your other Millennium4 RDF's and unzip the new ones. If you are using RM you will also need to unzip the Maps and image to where you have them.
