ARRIS VIP 2262 Bin file for Slingbox 350

Post by Muppet Man »

Hi There, I'm looking to try and get my hands on a bin file for the Slingbox 350 for the Arris VIP 2262 IPTV Set top Box

Data Sheet for the Arris is here:
https://www.arris.com/globalassets/reso ... 34-x.1.pdf

I've tried two existing VIP XXXX BIN downloads from the files sections, but neither were responsive when loaded into Slingplayer

Both sets of BIN files loaded fine, but when "testing" the remote on screen, the buttons were non-responsive. No error codes displayed - it just did nothing. I have the IR cable plugged into the back of the slingbox and is positioned well in front of the IPTV box.

Followed install instructions here:
http://www.rmrsoft.com/how_to_install_a ... gbox.html

When setting up on Slingbox I tried all PVR/Sattelite/Cable options with both _PL and _RV files

The current physical Arris remote control is working fine with the Arris IPTV device.

I also tried all other Arris BIN files that I could find in the files section, but none responded to any on screen remote button presses during "test".

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I think I found a solution for ARRIS VIP 2262 with my Slingbox 350

I was looking for an Arris VIP 2262 Bin file. Based on the advice regarding ARRIS being rebranded Motorola, I tried the pre-supplied Motorola files that come with Slingbox i.e. not from JP1 forums. For me the Motorola VIP 1216 remote control seems to do the trick just fine (it looks nothing like what I have, but all the buttons work).

So the key is to try the Slingbox supplied Motorola model codes. They seem to work!

Thanks for the tips regarding Arris = Motorola :D
