Do you mean JP1 (legacy) or JP1.x? If it's the latter...
We all buy ours from chip_partner on ebay

Then your best bet is to get a JP1.x to JP1 adapter from DIY and use it with an FTDI cable from chip_partner. Use the link above.

Who said anything about soldering? The DIY adapter has 6 pins on the end of it, and the chip_partner cable comes with 6 female connectors, so all you have to do is connect them. Where did you read something about soldering?

What do you mean by "trying to find", the thread that I linked to has links to everything.
Here's the thread:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16360
Here's the link to the chip_partner cable (same link as above and in the thread):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/123382330956
And here's the link to the DIY adapter (again, same link as in the thread):
https://www.diygadget.com/jp1-1-1-1-2-1 ... apter.html
UPDATE: The DIY adapter is no longer available. See link below for alternatives:

Chip Partner listing is ended again.
But this one looks like a good substitute. No guarantees as I've not tried this particular one myself.

Please let us know what you end up with and how well it works.

That's funny, he ships worldwide from China to everywhere except Barbados, Guadeloupe, Netherlands Antilles, Bolivia, Peru, Canada. But no matter, I just checked the chip_partner listing and it appears to be up again, so grab one of those while you can.

I suspect this cable will work for you.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/6Pin-USB-to-TT ... rk:19:pf:0
Select the "original FT232 cable (independent)" option for US$5.47
I find that shipping from China to Western Canada generally takes 3-4 weeks. (although I didn't purchase mine from this particular seller)
Unlikely that you will have any customs delays or surcharges on something in this price range.
You will still need the JP1.x to JP1 adapter from DIY.
Hope this helps.
