In looking at a problem I'm having with the extender (mentioned in a separate thread)
I noticed that the RDF that comes with the extender is different from the RDF which
comes with RemoteMaster 2.07 ... the differences are:

--- 1A781A78 (URC-6820N_8820N_10820N Extender A ) - Extender.RDF 2018-11-07 23:42:03.100834000 -0500

Jwehle,
I'm your extender writer. I've been absent from the forum for a while. I submitted my RDF's separately so that as updates are made to the RDF syntax, my RDF's will be brought into compliance. The changes matter, but in a good way.

I read your other thread this morning too. You are correct that Keymoves trump macros in all the extenders I write. I don't have my tools with me, so I'm flying blind here, but if you look on the general tab, there should be a setting for overall macro speed.

Macros are overclocked in my extenders. UEI macros run very slowly out of the box. They send three frames of each signal with a signifcant pause in between buttons. In the macro the extender send a quick press of the button and has shortened pause between buttons.

We typically use the pause to slow down your macro speed so that your equipment can prepare to respond to the next button. That, BUT on some remotes shortening the pause between buttons causes the macros to misfire, because the previous step of the macro hasn't completed before the next macro step is executed.

Note your current macro speed, and then set your macro speed to be the slowest time available. If that cures the problem, then you can play with the macro speed until you find the fastest speed that the macro runs successfully.

Hope that helps

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

It's a pleasure to hear from you. I've found your extenders to be very useful for years.
Also thanks for the suggestion regarding the macro time ... I'll post followups in the other thread.
