OK, all I did was load that device file. I have never done anything with the spreadsheet other then load device files for upgrade. So I am not sure what you want. I will see if I can get what you want done.

The list I gave listed the buttons and what they did on the DVD from the stock upgrade file you gave me. Ones marked OK did the correct function. The ones saying N/A did something, but the dvd put up an N/A symbol on the screen. Probably does something in some other mode on the player. Ones with ? indicate that I did not see any response from the player when the button was pressed.

OK, that explains alot. The KM file I created has the URC-6131 as the selected remote, if you didn't change that the functions would end up on the wrong buttons, this is an expected result.

Could you confirm which remote you are using, in your first post you mentioned that you have a 15-1994 but in your last post you said it was a 15-1995. Once you confirm which remote you are using, I will create a couple of upgrades for you and even format an IR.exe file that you can load directly into your remote to do the tests (be sure to save your current configuration, so you can restore it after the tests.

Could you also confirm whether you're using IR 4.02 or IR 5.00 as the file formats are different.

Yes there is a new version of IR, check the software forum for more info.

OK, I have created two upgrades, one where every button does exactly what you would expect it to do, and another which contains all the left over functions, here's the file: GoVideo-test.txt

The regular upgrade is on the AUX1 button, and the additional upgrade is on the AUX2 button.

Here's the list of functions and which button they're assigned to for the second upgrade:

Code: Select all

15-1994 Functions
1 mystery1
2 mystery2
3 mystery3
4 Enhance
5 Network
6 Open/Close
7 Play Mode
8 Search
9 Slow
0 Angle
CH+ Channel
CH- Zoom/View
enter Progressive Scan
tv/vcr Repeat A-B
display Subtitle
exit Return
menu Title
surr Audio

Hey, Rob thanks for all your help. I hope the info I have provided will help in someway. Unfortunately I have decided to take the unit back to the store. It just did not perform as expected. Limited by older slow 16 bit wireless card.

I do appreciate your help in this matter and hope that the files created will be useful to someone down the line.

Thanks again.

It does help pat, thanks. You pretty much confirmed that all (or most) of the functions provided in the UEI code are correct, and the 3 extra codes don't do anything.

The nex guy to get one of these players without a remote will be all set now.
