Trying to upgrade a Titan URC-2056-1 ....window pops up with writeRemote returned -1 . Anyone have any ideas? Tried searching that code but nothing?

Thanks for the reply but did not work...changed batteries still get the message
Very frustraiting! Does it even if I try to upload the saved original device.

Do another upload attempt, then post your rmaster.err file in the diagnostics area. It's located in the folder where you have Remote Master installed.

If you can put the actual file in our diagnosis section, I can open it. Otherwise someone else will have to help you as that site is blocked by my work firewall.

In the future, just upload the actual file rather than have the download point to the same 3rd party URL. Please don't post the entire text contents of the file in the description. I have edited your file to meet these requirements.

http://hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php ... e_id=25295

In any case, the relevant lines are these:

Code: Select all

Starting upload
Interface Name = NULL
Port Name = NULL
Testing interface: JP1.X Serial
Port Name = COM3
Opened on Port COM3
Opened interface type 1
Interface opened successfully
Base address = $DC80
Data writing phase failed, bytes written = -1 instead of 4864.
Seems like the connection is fine. If fresh batteries didn't do the trick, then I don't know exactly what's going on. Maybe another expert will chime in.
